Wavepage uses SQL Server* as the database of choice for scalable, secure applications. Access* can be used as a lower cost alternative in less demanding situations (it can be migrated to the former as required).

Pocket PC's can utilise pocket versions of either database so they act as stand alone data stores, ideal for the mobile workforce out on the road. When required to do so, these independent data stores can be made to remotely synchronise with a larger, central database. It's also possible to migrate data between different devices and stylise it for different displays on the way.
